In 2015, Connect Global launched an initiative in Honduras we call Connected Community. As a part of our ongoing support and investment into the Community of La Ceiba, Honduras our team will be providing training for the members of the local police department. The department leadership has asked for a specialized training for first responders to be able to learn life-saving techniques in order to mitigate the loss of life in the field.
We are very excited to share with you a fantastic update from Honduras.
As you may remember, we began raising funds to assist a community in Honduras to drill a new water well in their town around December of 2016.
Many people, organizations, and churches have given towards this effort, and over the Christmas Holiday, we received the amount needed to begin making this Water Well a reality.
One of our Partners in Honduras, Jorge Amador, has been helping us coordinate with the community, hire local drilling professionals, as well as provide oversight to the project.
The drilling was initiated on Monday, January 23, and we could not be happier to report that the well was completed. The partners in Honduras also contracted the drilling team to go to a nearby town and drill a second well.
Over the last year, along with our Honduran partners, we developed a plan to help this second town, Estiquirin, get their well completed and water to every resident.
In August 2018, Our Team along with a team from House of Grace church in Georgia will be there to see the completion of this project. This is a big project and will cost about $4,000. We have already received $1,000 towards the goal and invite you to invest in the long-term benefits of clean and healthy drinking water for this community of Estiquirin, Honduras.
Please continue to pray with us as this project proceeds and we wait to see this Clean Water Project be completed!
Together we will not only provide clean water to this town but also a restored faith in Jesus because of answered prayers. Thank You.
CONNECT GLOBAL is investing in the local pastors and leaders of the church in La Ceiba. We believe that their destiny is to not only reach their communities but all communities around the world. We are bringing several teachers and pastors who will share their expertise with the local church leaders on our next trip, July 14-22.

Little Lambs Refuge in La Masica is a wonderful ministry of Proyecto Alcance founded by David and Dialis Romero. They have cared for and supported girls of all ages in a very poor area of Honduras for 18 years. Connect Global was introduced to this ministry in 2015 while Danielle, Saige, and myself lived in La Ceiba.
The Connect Global Team often comes across a story and situation that just makes sense to offer help. Our friend and National Director Jorge Amador was introduced to Maria through our friends Pastor Allan and Pastor Miguel of CCI Church. CCI Church is very active in opening up their church to the community and offer aide to so many in need near La Ceiba, Honduras.
CONNECT GLOBAL CLEAN WATER PROJECT
A Tall glass of water—On a hot summer day there's nothing more refreshing. The simplest of drinks can be the most thirst quenching, especially when it's exactly what's needed. Until it's unavailable.
This is the case for the residents of the Honduran towns of El Tamarindo and San Lorenzo. Around 600 men, women and children have lived without regular access to this most basic life-sustaining drink—Water.
I have witnessed first hand the living conditions of these wonderful people.
Connect Global is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus through collaborative and sustainable solutions. Through partnership with the local Water Management District, local businesses and local churches Connect Global was able to drill a deep water well in El Tamarindo. This high capacity water well is now connected directly to the community's existing plumbing system providing water to every home, every family, every child for many years to come.
The community has offered land and committed to build a secure well house. A local business, Agrolibano, has offered to provide a high capacity water tank. Connect Global has committed to drill a deep water well and supply a water pump. Due to the amazing collaboration and financial blessing from many sources in the US and In Honduras, the people of El Tamarindo now have water.
You have a part in all of this.
Our Next Water Project will be in San Lorenzo in late summer of 2019. You can come with us and help bring clean water to a community in Need!
HOW YOU CAN HELP PROVIDE CLEAN WATER TO THIS TOWN IN HONDURAS
We are raising $5000 to complete the next project and we need your help. Whether you can give $5 or $50 every penny counts. You can literally save lives by helping us. Clean Water can equal improvements in education, income and overall health.
Thank you.

Connect Global is taking time to honor and celebrate moms this month. We asked our moms (and several other moms we know) a few Questions to get a conversation started about what is important in life and what moms want to see in the world for themselves, and most importantly for their children. Hope you enjoy and please take a minute to ask your mom questions like these from time to time, you may be delightfully surprised by what you learn your mom!
Kaelyn Fuglaar
Kaelyn is mother of one daughter, Adelaide, and one son, Zion. She is Married to Garrett Fuglaar.
1. Describe a time in your life you really needed someone and they came through for you?
In my third year of college, which also happened to be my senior year of college, I was lost, on the wrong path, hanging out with the wrong people, and doing the wrong things. I didn’t think I needed anyone but looking back, I desperately needed someone to help open my eyes and pull me out of the mess I was in. My older brother, Kris, came through for me then. He loved me through it, spoke the truth I needed to hear, and helped point me in the right direction. Because of his courage to step up and say something, I was able to get on the path I was supposed to be on all along.
2. Who is a woman in your life that has been especially influential in your life?
As cliche as it sounds, my mom. She has always been there, whether it was with the perfect advice at just the right time, offering her ears to just listen and a shoulder to cry on, and always giving more than I deserve. She’s taught me things as simple as how to cook and clean for my household, all the way to how a family should love and care. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her constant love, support, teaching, and guiding hand.
3. What books by female authors have you read, and what books did you find impactful?
Some of my favorites by female authors have been “You are a Badass” and “You are a Badass at Making Money” by Jen Sincero, “Brunette Ambition” by Lea Michele, “Staying Stylish” by Candace Bure, and “The Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyer. I loved all of these for different reasons. There were things I could learn about business, every day, and my walk with God. But I do remember after reading “Brunette Ambition” being fired up to live my best life. Eat healthy, stay active, chase after my dreams like never before. Something about hearing Lea’s story ignited a fire to go after mine.
4. WHERE DO YOU DRAW ENCOURAGEMENT FROM?
A few places. First and foremost from God. Then from my husband and daughter, and finally community of people around me. I’m so thankful for my people and who I get to do life with.
5. WHAT PROJECT, HOBBY, OR MISSION ARE YOU ESPECIALLY EXCITED ABOUT OR INVOLVED IN RIGHT NOW?
Our next big project is transforming our guest bedroom into a nursery next month for our baby boy who is due this July! We are excited to welcome another boy into the family and watch our daughter, Adelaide, be a big older sister. So that’s definitely taking up a lot of our focus and excitement right now!
6. WHAT DOES THE WORLD NEED MORE OF RIGHT NOW?
Love. Definitely love. The real and true love. Not the love that takes advantage, manipulates, or is based on conditions. But the love that says, “I will be there for you no matter what you do or say, today, tomorrow, next year.” That patient, kind, never failing love.
7. WHAT DO YOU WANT MOST FOR YOUR CHILDREN?
For them to go after their dreams with all they have and not stop until they achieve them. And then make new ones and achieve those too. I want them to know that the old, traditional ways are being redefined and they can truly do anything.
8. NAME SOMETHING YOU BOUGHT FOR YOURSELF THAT YOU LOVE.
I bought myself bowls and spoons made from real coconuts that I’m obsessed with. I’m a foodie so I put smoothies, salads, you name it, in them and always take pictures of my creations. The plus side is they are eco-friendly and beautiful. (Go check out Coconut Bowls if you want to see for yourself!)
9. NAME 2 THINGS YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT MONEY COULDN’T BUY AND WHY THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO YOU.
Family and community. With these two aspects in my life, I know I will never have to face anything alone, I always have someone I can turn to, and I will never be in need. In today’s world, families are falling apart more than ever and being able to turn to mine (husband, parents, cousins, aunts, etc) daily gives me hope and strength. I also think everyone should have some sort of community. A tribe of people who they do life with. Sometimes it changes, but the depth of those relationships are always so vital in different seasons. I have close friends that I can ask for anything and they would be there, and that’s huge.

1. Describe a time in your life you really needed someone and they came through for you?
When my mom was very sick, my church family stepped in to help with anything from babysitting, to cleaning my parents' house, to meals, to listening while I cried, to prayer...everything and anything I needed in any given moment.
2. Who is a woman in your life that has been especially influential in your life?
My Mom, she taught me to be strong.
3. What books by female authors have you read, and what books did you find impactful?
Any book by Jen Hatmaker and Lysa Terkeurst. They focus on helping women grow their faith while becoming the woman God has called them to be. They are very real in their approach. We're going to make mistakes as women, but we can learn from them and allow them to shape us as we move forward from them. Women encouraging other women. We're all in this together.
4. WHERE DO YOU DRAW ENCOURAGEMENT FROM?
my encouragement comes from my family, my God-fearing friends, and daily reminding myself who I am in Christ...when the wheels fall off, a brownie helps :)
5. WHAT PROJECT, HOBBY, OR MISSION ARE YOU ESPECIALLY EXCITED ABOUT OR INVOLVED IN RIGHT NOW?
Our business venture occupies most of our time. But I do enjoy volunteering at the school, and we are prayerfully considering where to serve next.
6. WHAT DOES THE WORLD NEED MORE OF RIGHT NOW?
Jesus and kindness
7. WHAT DO YOU WANT MOST FOR YOUR CHILDREN?
To be loving, God-fearing, caring, respectable, healthy, happy, share their faith with others, kind
8. NAME SOMETHING YOU BOUGHT FOR YOURSELF THAT YOU LOVE.
A purse :)
9. NAME 2 THINGS YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT MONEY COULDN’T BUY AND WHY THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO YOU.
- Time with my family because they are the reason why I exist and they make me a better person
- Joy because it makes all the difference, even in a sad situation. You can still choose it, and it can bring hope.
