The Maternity Home ministry provides Connect Global access to serve both moms and newborns with great care and dignity while sharing the good news of Jesus with our employees, hospital staff and each new mom that we meet.
Connect Global has now surpassed serving 675 Mothers since opening in September 2019.
Our team has been faithfully serving the mothers of Atlántida for almost 14 months and we are so proud of the amazing work they have done. Even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic and a very destructive hurricane season, our team has persisted in their commitment to serve these mothers — we could not do what we do with out you.
New babies are born everyday and everyday our team is waiting to care for the mothers in our department of Atlántida. We are ready with a warm, safe bed. We are ready with hot food. We are ready with the love and care of Jesus. Each and every single mother that comes in is in need of great care and in a dark moment. The Maternity Home is first and foremost a haven for the mothers whose children are in the NICU. They are sometimes premature, they are sometimes in need of breathing apparatus, they are always in need of a safe place to recover. We are grateful that we are able to provide these mothers a dignified way to receive the care they and their newborns are in need of
Eugenia and Her baby were with Connect Global this year at the Maternity Home. It is truly a miracle of God each and every time we get to send another precious mother and baby home.
Many times before the Maternity Home was built our team would observe mothers waiting anxiously for their children in the corridors of the hospital. They were exposed to the elements but staying in close proximity to their children was more important to the moms than their own safety or security.
On September 11, 2019 the Connect Global Team opened the doors to the Maternity Home and began hosting these mothers. This got them up off the floor and into brand new beds with access to clean bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and 24 hour care by the Connect Global team which includes meals, medications, and newborn necessities when available. When Ingrid delivered her daughter she immediately knew they were in for a long stay at the hospital while her baby gained wait. She needed many specialized tests which are expensive, but vital and our team was able to help her with the resources needed to complete these tests. All in all Ingrid and her daughter were with us for 41 days. By far the longest stay so far.

In addition to 3 meals per day, each mom at the Connect Global Maternity Home ministry can expect a clean bed, new laundry facilities, a clothing bank of new and donated items, as well as a caring, loving staff.
This Maternity Home is truly a blessing from God and has already been a blessing to over 675 mothers as of December 1st 2020.
