Mendoza Family Update From La Ceiba Honduras

The Mendoza Family has gotten settled in.

We are grateful for all of our friends and family for the continued support, messages, gifts, and check ins. We are glad to be in La Ceiba full time again and looking forward to what is ahead.

We have 6 missions trips planned this year with 3 to La Ceiba, 1 to San Lorenzo, 1 to Spain, and 1 to Cuba.

Everyday here is wrought with potential for life changing ministry and opportunities to share love with others in both tangible and spiritual ways.

Jorge and Janeth were very instrumental in us getting a great place to rent and having it set up before we arrived

Even while helping us get internet installed and water connected our friend, and National Director, Jorge was able to share his testimony and encourage them. Later that afternoon Jorge invited the Tigo guys for lunch and they prayed together to accept Jesus.

God has some amazing ways of connecting us to those in need if we pay attention and make intentional decisions to follow through.

Our Co Founders and family (Travis, Gina, and Noah) were here with us to help us get our house feeling like a home and they were a great blessing. They helped us set up furniture and paint as well as many other projects to make sure we are set up.

We could not have made this move happen without many of you helping us and making our ministry here a priority. Thank You!

We have been blessed to meet and work with many great community leaders over the years and we look forward to expanding our programs and completing new projects this year.

One program we are continuing to focus on is Launching a School of Missions in Honduras. This will help us Prepare & Equip Latin American Students to Reach the World through Missions.

We also have several mission trips planned this year where you can jump in and be a part of the success in La Ceiba. We will visit the Girls Home at La Masica, continue to work with the local Fire and Police Departments, Host our annual Mission Conference, as well as many practical projects such as, concrete floors, clean water projects, and more.

Update on The Roof Project for Pastor Fredy at the Comedor de JesuCristo in La Ceiba

​We have been able to help Pastor Fredy with the first phase of the Roof project.

We were able to visit his church on Saturday and see that there is still much progress to be made. We sat in service and were rained on under the yet to be replaced roof. It was great to see first hand the severity of the need as well as the steadfastness of the Pastor and church as they did not let this major inconvenience affect them. Their ministry continues despite the heavy rains.

PASTOR FREDY VENTURA IS A VERY DEDICATED SERVANT TO THE PEOPLE OF LA CEIBA.

He is a man that holds in very high regard the responsibility God has bestowed upon him. His work is run on Faith in God alone. 

7 DAYS A WEEK AND 24 HOURS A DAY, PEOPLE IN LA CEIBA CAN COME TO THE COMEDOR DE JESUCRISTO AND RECEIVE A MEAL.

There are three designated meal times set aside to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, however, because of a rotation of volunteer pastors and church leaders, they will serve a meal to someone in need at any time of day or night. 

The location is centrally located and easy to access. There are no forms to sign, or agreements between those serving and those eating. They have stripped everything down to a basic service of feeding the hungry. At each meal the word of God is preached, and food is served. They do so based on a belief of biblical scriptures instructing them to do so.

Mendoza Family In La Ceiba Honduras

The Mendoza Family will be starting off this new decade in La Ceiba Honduras as a part of the ongoing Connect Global ‘Connected Community’ Initiative.

Mendoza Family; Danielle, Saige, and Javier Mendoza

Myself, Danielle and Saige will be living in La Ceiba Honduras to aid in the continued efforts there to work together with community & church leaders to sustainably help those in need while sharing the Good News of Jesus and Helping others do the same.

The overview of Connected Community is structured around engaging and supporting
four main groups within the community: Churches, Schools, Local Business, and Children's Homes.

2019 Conferencia de Misiones en La Ceiba

Connect Global tuvo un tiempo maravilloso como anfitrión de la Conferencia de Misiones 2019 en La Ceiba, Honduras. Este año, los asistentes disfrutaron de varios oradores dinámicos y talleres. Tanto líderes de culto locales como internacionales estuvieron en la conferencia compartiendo sus dones con Honduras, y muchas personas entregaron sus corazones al señor al servicio de la Gran Comisión.

Organizar eventos anuales como la Conferencia de Misiones de este año es una expresión de nuestro deseo de ayudar a preparar y equipar a América Latina para llegar al mundo. Esta conferencia anual junto con nuestra iniciativa de Comunidad Conectada existente en La Ceiba, Honduras, es parte de la visión a largo plazo de Connect Global.

Connect Global tuvo el honor de albergar algunos oradores invitados, pastores y capacitadores muy especiales. Dr. Mitch Arbeláez, Movilizador Internacional de Go To Nations, Pastor Tony Byrd, Morning Star Church, y Dr. Johnny Moffitt, Worldwide Voice In the Wilderness, junto con muchos otros oradores y maestros de renombre de La Ceiba como el Pastor Allan Lorenzana, Pastor Edgardo Lainez, Pastor Mauricio Vargas estuvieron allí para ayudar a compartir la visión.

Connect Global Missions Conference in La Ceiba

Connect Global had a wonderful time hosting the 2019 Missions Conference in La Ceiba, Honduras. This years attendees enjoyed several dynamic speakers, and workshops. Both international and local worship leaders were at the conference sharing their giftings with Honduras, and many people gave their hearts to the lord in service to the Great Commission..

Hosting annual events such as this year’s Missions Conference is one expression of our desire to help Prepare and Equip Latin America to Reach the World. This annual conference along with our existing Connected Community initiative in La Ceiba, Honduras is a part of the long term vision of Connect Global. 

Connect Global was honored to host some very special guest speakers, pastors, and trainers. Dr. Mitch Arbeláez, International Mobilizer from Go To Nations, Pastor Tony Byrd, Morning Star Church, & Dr Johnny Moffitt, Worldwide Voice In the Wilderness, along with many other well renowned speakers and teachers from La Ceiba such as Pastor Allan Lorenzana, Pastor Edgardo Lainez, Pastor Mauricio Vargas were there to help share the vision.

We hope you will make plans now to join Connect Global for the 2020 Missions Conference, “To the Ends of the Earth” in July of next year.
