There IS hope and His name is Jesus. Let us not forget the battles people are facing everyday. Let us be gracious, let us be kind, let us be people of compassion and generosity.

Five years ago today we were with David and his family in La Ceiba Honduras.

David was one of the tiny, brave patients we met from the Honduran Foundation for Kids with Cancer where we served daily. In fact serving at the foundation is how we discovered the great need for a Maternity Home at the hospital.

Sadly, David lost his battle with cancer not long after this day photographed here. His mother was heartbroken, we were heartbroken.

David reminds me of how precious life is and that we should treasure every day we were given. This reminder has not been to far out of reach lately with people passing away, countries at war and innocent lives being robbed by those with evil hearts.

Additionally, this past Wednesday (Aug 12, 2020) we woke up to the news that 12 of the Pastors we knew and served alongside in our community of La Ceiba have passed away due to COVID-19.

That is 12 fathers, 12 husbands, 12 pillars in Gods house who the world lost. There IS hope and His name is Jesus. Let us not forget the battles people are facing everyday. Let us be gracious, let us be kind, let us be people of compassion and generosity.
