Maternity Home Ministry Update November 2019

The Connect Global Team is very excited about the progress of the Maternity Home Ministry as well as the building and construction efforts which are scheduled to be complete in Summer 2019.

The Connect Global team is proud to announce that the Maternity Home in La Ceiba, Honduras opened on September 11, 2019. Thank You for making this Home a Reality!

This home is truly a blessing from God and has already been a blessing to 125 mothers.

This Maternity Home allows Connect Global the access to serve both moms and newborns with great care and dignity while sharing the good news of Jesus with employees, hospital staff and each mom and their children.

Our focus and intention has always been on the relationships we can build within this facility through the operation of this Maternity Home Ministry. Our team provides 24 care which includes, preparing and serving hot meals, processing donations, cleaning, and ministry in the form of prayer, and providing items for the moms to help them recover and make their way back to their own home.

We want to thank you for your prayer and support as we continue to invest in this ministry over the coming weeks, months and years. Thank You for sharing the vision and for joining in this cause. We are truly better together and we could never express our gratitude sufficiently.

Connect Global Maternity Home is a beautiful place for post natal mothers to find rest, care, and to recover in peace.

Connect Global Maternity Home Team is always present and provides excellent care to the mothers in our care.

There are some demonstrations and protesting still going on that makes travel a little more difficult and we are monitoring his movements closely and communicating with him along the way.

Jorge has always been ready to serve in any capacity needed. His wisdom, charisma, and compassion make him an immediate friend to everyone he encounters. His loyalty make him a friend you want to keep.. 

Jorge is a valuable asset to our leadership in Honduras and has greatly augmented our efforts. He has supervised several projects such as our recently completed water well in El Tamarindo, and he along with his wife Janeth will be our first points of contact in our upcoming Maternity Home Project in La Ceiba .

Maternity Home Project Update June 2019

The Connect Global Team is very excited about the progress of the Maternity Home Ministry as well as the building and construction efforts which are scheduled to be complete in Summer 2019.

The Connect Global team is overjoyed with the amazing work that has been done on the Maternity Home in La Ceiba, Honduras. Thank You!

This home is nearly complete and we could not be more excited to begin our ministry efforts inside the newly built facility. In March (2019) the Connect Global staff had an opportunity to finalize the contract with the hospital administration which will allow us to begin the operations for the Maternity Home as soon as the construction is finalized. We are so grateful for everyone who has donated and been a part of this journey.

We were able to tour the Maternity Home today with our current mission team. Tomorrow is one of the final construction related inspections and we expect to be able to begin staffing immediately.

The rooms are beautiful and it is apparent that great attention was paid to every detail. From the foundation to the roof, every facet of the construction of this building is done with excellence.

This Maternity Home allows Connect Global the access to serve both moms and newborns with great care and dignity while sharing the good news of Jesus with employees, hospital staff and each mom and their children.

Together we have been able to work towards the completion of a Maternity Home in La Ceiba, Honduras. Thank You!

This home is nearly complete and we could not be more excited to begin our ministry efforts inside the newly built, 24 bed facility. The Connect Global staff had an opportunity to finalize the contract which will allow us to begin forming the operations staff for the Maternity Home. We are so grateful for everyone who has donated and been a part of this journey.

Connect Global Visit to the Elders Home in El Porvenir

Connect Global mission team visit to El Porvenir

There are many ways that Connect Global has chosen to impact communities in Honduras. We often will find smaller sub communities to work with and one of those communities is the Elders Home in El Porvenir. Last year we visited and delivered prescription glasses as well as other items that were requested to help them create handmade gifts and crafts which they then sell to supplement their income.

This home provides a safe a secure place for some of El Porvenir’s most vulnerable citizens to engage with others, make crafts, and be fed. Our relationship with the Director, Olivia, has been able to help us know what is needed and what will be a blessing to the men and women who benefit from this home. It is our desire to help in any way possible and to help find sustainable ways to supplement the work Olivia is doing.

In addition to prescription glasses and knitting materials we have also provided a fully functional aquaponic food system. This is a blessing to the home’s already functioning chicken coops and in ground gardens. Aquaponics is a way for the home to provide some extra proteins and leafy veggies to an already vulnerable group of people and help ensure a nutritious diet.

Improving someone’s quality of life is easier to achieve than you may think.

We are grateful for you and for all the supporters we have been so fortunate to have been backed by over the years. We are always on the look out for more ways to support and help these communities and we will continue to share with you the success of those outreaches and how you can get plugged in.

Giving the Gift of Vision

Connect Global was able to give glasses to and improve vision for seniors in need.

There are many ways that Connect Global has chosen to help and raise up the communities in Honduras. We have many large projects, but you may be surprised to find out that along the way we also find other ways to make a difference as well.

One of the ways we recently supported the communities in Honduras was by bringing new eye glasses to a senior home. These glasses were donated to Connect Global, and we knew that we had the perfect recipients. We have been visiting this special home over the past year and providing many different valuable gifts to this amazing group.
