In 2015, Connect Global launched an initiative in Honduras we call Connected Community. As a part of our ongoing support and investment into the Community of La Ceiba, Honduras our team provided a 2-day training for several members of the local police department. Since then we have also engaged with the Fire Departments of La Ceiba, and El Porvenir to provide fire suits, medical equipment, and other job related support.
Connect Global had a very special time with the Firefighters in El Porvenir Honduras
We were able to spend a nice afternoon hearing the story of how this firehouse was founded. Being able to understand how this group of hard working individuals is able to accomplish so much with the support of their community and the families they serve is a great testament to what we can all do when we work together.
The departments are still in need of a few items and we would love for you to join us and help meet these needs:

air masks
air compressor for oxygen tanks
an ambulance for emergency response

We have started a Firefighters Fund to help support these amazing people. We are grateful to be able to make such a tangible impact in the Community of El Porvenir, Honduras.
We are happy to be building a strong connection to these men and women and be able to share both physical and spiritual support with the Fire and Rescue teams of Honduras.

Connect Global was able to facilitate the delivery of several donated fire suits from the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue unit in Florida to the Firefighters of El Porvenir in March 2019, and in June 2019 we are able to immediately donate money to help buy much needed radios for emergency communication.
Firefighters in El Porvenir welcomed the Connect Global team in March and In June of 2019. We are grateful to be able to serve the brave men and women who diligently protect their community.
