Connect Global partnered with Pastor Allan and Waldina Lorenzana of CCI Church in La Ceiba, Honduras as well as several other concerned pastors, doctors, church members, and friends to help bring relief to those in need during this global crisis. Thank You to everyone who has given to make this possible.
All over the world today people are facing the same enemy, Covid-19. This tiny virus has caused a huge commotion. Businesses have closed. Schools have shut their doors. Entire nations have declared a quarantine in an effort to limit the spread of the virus. I’m sure in the near and distant future we will look back on this time as a significant historical marker.
In 2016 Connect Global partnered with the Community Water District in El Tamarindo to support a plan to give water to the residents of this remote and very water insecure town. In August of 2018 & 2019, Connect Global helped complete the most recent phases of this current plan to bring water to 2 communities near the original well that was dug. In August 2020 we plan to visit with a Honduran Mission Team and continue our work in this area of need. Thank You for your support.
As a team, we’re always looking for ways to help develop skills and strengthen our faith. Especially now as we are all asked to stay In this May be of great benefit to you and your family. Many of us are looking for new and interesting resources to help us in our daily life and this extensive library has content available in multiple categories and even different languages.
In 2015, Connect Global launched an initiative in Honduras we call Connected Community. As a part of our ongoing support and investment into the Community of La Ceiba, Honduras our team has provided medic training for several members of the local police department. Since then we have also engaged with the Fire Department El Porvenir to provide fire suits, medical equipment, and other job related support like communication radios and most recently an ambulance.

Estamos monitoreando constantemente los medios de comunicación tanto globales como regionales, así como la información a nivel del Departamento de Estado local y de los EE. UU. Sobre todos los temas que podrían ser de interés para nuestro personal, socios, miembros del equipo y aquellos a quienes servimos. Con ese fin, hemos estado observando y aprendiendo de cerca tanto como podemos sobre las preocupaciones más recientes sobre este novedoso Coronavirus, COVID-19.
Connect Global has traveled to Central and South America for over 16 years. We are constantly monitoring global as well as regional news outlets, as well as both US and local State Department level information on all issues that would be of concern to our staff, partners, team members, and those we serve. To that end, we have been closely watching and learning as much as we can about the most recent concerns about this novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
We are grateful for all of our friends and family for the continued support, messages, gifts, and check ins. We are glad to be in La Ceiba full time again and looking forward to what is ahead.
We have 6 missions trips planned this year with 3 to La Ceiba, 1 to San Lorenzo, 1 to Spain, and 1 to Cuba.
Everyday here there are many needs and we are happy to jump in and serve where we can in addition to our day to day responsibilities of building Connect Global.
