Connect Global Prison Trip to Tegucigalpa was a Success

There are many ways that Connect Global has chosen to help raise up communities in Honduras. One way we have done this is by partnering with local church leaders who have a heart and passion for prison ministry. We have visited about 9 prisons over the past few years in various cities around the country.

Connect Global Co founder, Travis’ Parents, Johnny and Betty Moffitt shared their unique brand of prison ministry with Honduras. For over 40 years Johnny and Betty Moffitt of Worldwide Voice in the wilderness have been combining compassion and humor together in ministry like few others can. They host marriage, manhood, and family seminars around the US as well as other services to those in prison and their families. They have been invited by governments and prison officials from San Quentin to the former Soviet Union and over 40 countries in between. Their most recent international work has been to the nation of Cuba.

In addition to 2 prison visits our team also held a training conference for Prison Volunteers and Church Leaders. During our team’s stay we were able to visit one women’s prison as well as one maximum security men’s facility. Our team shared hope and love with each of these men and women, as well as had the opportunity to train outside prison volunteers. This training is a way for our team to connect and convey material that will be useful in prison ministry and for local prison volunteers to have a chance to network with each other in order to maximize their impact.

We are proud to have hosted these team members who have such a passion for prison ministry in a country that Connect Global is committed to helping so holistically. For us it is simply a way to share the love of Jesus and help others to do the same. One community and one church , and one individual at a time, we are making the Good News of Jesus available to all.

Remembering those in prison

We were able to support these local pastors and prison volunteers though bible and training material giveaways, as well as hosting a top notch training seminar at the local hotel.
